For the sake of economy, this type of die is usually reversible. Since considerable metal is displaced during the rolling process, and die hardness is critical, we exercise special care in the heat treating operation.
As there are no standards currently established, it is important to specify the blank diameter when ordering the die. Listed in the table shown here are the Type B dimensions given by ASME. |
